Changes all around

Pete has moved to a new place in Port Townsend. He's finding his way through what's important to himself, his loved ones, his community and his cycling world. He is a co-owner and manager of the newest bike shop in town: The Broken Spoke.

The Broken Spoke, 835 Water Street, 360-379-1295, open seven days a week.

Recently frame building has been on hold since Single Speed World Championships. I can see him getting a little twitchy about building himself another road bike. Who knows. Please let him know if you're interested in hearing more about what he's done... and could do!

Keep pedaling!

On my way...

Today starts the adventure of Single Speed World Championships 2009. I'm headed to Bozeman, Montana for a little pre-riding and to meet up with two great friends: Seth and Dallas. Then we're off for Fruita and Durango.
I look forward to it all!
Cheers,
Pete

SSWC09

I have been so busy getting things together before the show and the race. I look forward to seeing all of you out on the course. Here is the bike I will be riding and showing. Not the greatest picture but you can see it at the show at Single Speed Worlds.

File, file, file

The new frame is coming along. I've been ordering parts along the way, and they're trickling in and encouraging me to get the rest of the sanding and filing done. I'm so close, and then it's off to the powder-coater.
I've almost completed lacing my wheels... and they're looking good already.
I needed a mental break so I went biking with the gang today near Bellingham, but will be back to filing when I return.

SSWC '09 is coming much faster than I realize, yet it's still going to be a blast. I look forward to showing my new frame, and meeting you and many others!
Cheers,
Pete

The beginning...

Welcome to my Blog. I am a custom builder utilizing the web to create a larger customer base.
I use True Temper tubing ranging from the economical RC1 tube set to the race orientated OX Platinum series. I use Henry James lugs and drop outs. I use powder coating as the final color surface because of its durability.
Custom built frames are not a fast process, from time of deposit to final product, it will take ten weeks or longer.

For quotes and pricing feel free to contact me via my email address. Bicyclebound@gmail.com

Thank you for your interest. I would love to hear from you!

As a custom frame builder, I apprenticed under Stan Johnson. He taught me many techniques and classic design principles that have fostered a traditional style and look to my frames. I am open to all types of new styles and personal flare.

Here are a few samples of my built frames
This is the original bike that as built during my apprenticeship with Stan.
